About Tioga ISD's FCCLA Program

Tioga FCCLA is an exciting and growing program at Tioga High School!  Student members have had much success and recognition at the local, regional, state and even national level!  We had 2 top 10 teams at the 2024 National Leadership Conference in Seattle, WA!

We also focus heavily on community service and building family connections.  Some of the events we host to promote those things include blood drives, breast cancer survivor support, trunk or treat, Angel Tree program, Christmas on Gene Autry/Light up Tioga, Wreaths Across America and field day,

How this website is important

This project is very beneficial for many people in Tioga’s community. This project is designed to let people know about all of the things that are FCCLA related in our chapter. We like to keep people informed on all of the events that are happening and the ones that will take place in advance so people can mark their calendars for it! The goal of this project is to allow FCCLA to be better known around Tioga. We hope to give everyone a chance to be a part of our chapter in many ways and with this website that can now happen

This project impacted our school and community in many different ways. For example, People who were not previously in FCCLA, can now find out how to join through the website! As for the community, they are now better informed about FCCLA related events and Chapter meetings.

College And Career Readiness

Family and Consumer Science (FCS) courses in middle and high schools are essential to student growth and development. These courses help prepare youth for life beyond high school, whether that is college or going straight into the work force, or both!!! FCS career pathways include Human Services, Hospitality and Tourism, Education and Training, and Visual Arts. Students learn lifetime skills in FCS in courses such as Human Growth and Development, Culinary Arts, Dollars and Sense, Hospitality and Tourism, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Food Science.

FCCLA is a student led organization that is directly tied to FCS.  This organization helps grow and develop leaders for the future through community service, building family values, as well as career investigation and development.  Students build 21st century employability skills such as effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving.
